LEBANON, OH. – Miami Valley Raceway hopes to fill a Valentine’s Day pace limited to lady drivers racing fillies and mares. The winning lady driver will receive a gift certificate for a romantic dinner for two in the upscale Cin City Steak & Seafood Restaurant just off the Miami Valley casino floor. There will also be a dozen red roses awaiting the winner in winner’s circle.
Lady drivers must possess either an ‘A’ or ‘P’ (provisional) license from the USTA as well as a current Ohio State Racing Commission license.
Proposed conditions for the mares in the pacing race are: Mares that raced for a purse of $7500 or less in their last start. Participating drivers are asked to try and secure their own mount, but those that can’t may be able to get help from the race office. The sweetened purse for the Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Pace will be $10,000.
